Hello

I’m Johanna Haack. I am a therapist at Stepping Stone Family Services who graduated from the University of Iowa as a Licensed Master of Social Work. My journey into therapy began with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. My goal as a therapist is to provide a supportive and empowering space for individuals to explore their inner world and find their voice. I have a deep passion for helping others navigate life's challenges, and I believe therapy is a tool for growth, healing, and self-discovery.

My passion for therapy stems from the transformation I witness in my clients. It is a unique and profound privilege to be part of someone’s journey towards healing and self-discovery. Whether navigating life’s ups and downs or addressing specific mental health challenges, my clients' resilience and courage inspire me every day.

Approaches

As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. I believe in the importance of fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and authenticity. By honoring each individual's unique experiences, strengths, and perspectives, I empower clients to explore their narratives, identify their values and goals, and, ultimately, foster meaningful change in their lives.

I focus on various techniques tailored to meet each client's specific needs and preferences. Whether utilizing cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness practices, creative expression, or narrative therapy techniques, my goal is to provide a personalized and holistic approach to support clients on their journey toward self-discovery and growth.

I am committed to supporting clients as they navigate life's challenges by offering guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support every step of the way. I look forward to the opportunity to help you on your path toward healing and empowerment.
