Hello
I’m Zach O-Hollearn. I am a therapist at Stepping Stone Family Services who graduated from the University of Iowa as a Licensed Master of Social Work. I have previous experience in therapy working with clients as a practicum student at Stepping Stone Family Services.
I have always been motivated to help others. In high school, I developed a passion for helping others through my experience working with Habitat for Humanity and helping individuals in my community. I am motivated as a therapist because I can make a difference in individuals' lives and help them with struggles they may face.
Areas of Interest
I have experience working with children as young as nine and adult clients. I currently do not have any areas of specialization, as I am working to develop my skills as a new clinician with a broad approach to the practice.
Approaches
I take a client-centered approach to therapy. I have utilized frameworks based on cognitive behavioral therapy, grief therapy, and play therapy. One of my core values is being a good person and trying to help others. It is important to approach working with others in a manner that will best help them achieve their goals. In this setting, I believe in the importance of working with empathy, being sensitive to one's culture, and collaborating with other providers when needed.
About Me
I am a big fan of live events. I enjoy various shows, whether concerts, musicals, or social gatherings. I am also a tabletop gamer and a big fan of various board and tabletop games!
